Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 March 2026. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You also have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract.

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Uni Tools (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Timetable data: purpose and your consent

The Service may store your timetable information (including classes, selections, and related data you provide or generate through the Service) so you can view, edit, and sync your timetable across sessions and devices.

You agree that such timetable data may be saved and processed solely for your benefit (to provide you with timetable and related functionality), and for no other purpose on our part. We will not use your saved timetable data for unrelated commercial purposes, advertising profiling, or resale.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or the Australian Consumer Law where those laws apply to you.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service (for example by attempting to disrupt it, access others' data without authority, or use it in breach of law). You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for how you rely on the Service in relation to enrolment or university requirements; the Service is a planning aid and may not reflect official university systems.

4. Intellectual property

The Service, its branding, and its software are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use in line with these terms, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable law, we exclude liability for loss or damage arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded (for example non-excludable statutory guarantees for consumers).

6. Suspension and changes

We may suspend or discontinue features of the Service, or update these terms, where reasonable. Where we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example by updating the date above or through the Service).

7. Contact

For questions about these terms, use the contact method we provide within the Service or on our website.
